Responsibilities

New hybrid work opportunity based in Billerica MA for an Associate Accountant to join the Bruker Corporate Accounting Team.  The Associate Accountant will be involved in corporate accounting and finance activities that have significant interaction with the Business, Divisional, Corporate Finance, and Consolidation Teams. Activities include assisting in reviewing results submitted from various locations, assisting with the preparation of financial statement disclosures and preparation of quarterly external filings. This position will coordinate with Sr. Corporate Accountants to maintain adequate internal financial controls and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements.   

  • Serve as a contributor to the monthly and quarterly closing and consolidation process.
  • Assist in the review of legal entity financial statements and data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.  
  • Assist with the annual audit and quarterly reviews.
  • Assist in analysis of financial results and creation of management reports.
  • Participate in maintenance and testing of the Company’s finance and accounting control policies and procedures.
  • Perform ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA qualified or actively pursuing CPA designation (partially-qualified candidates are welcome).
  • Minimum 1–2 years recent work experience in public accounting, ideally with audit or advisory firm involving public companies.
  • Strong Microsoft Office product experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Word proficiency. Access proficiency desirable.
  • Proven working knowledge of US-GAAP.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and details effectively.
  • Strong work ethic, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, computer, interpersonal communication and presentation skills with fluent English language proficiency.
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete position training and compliance requirements.
  • Operates with a high standard of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required, with reliable transportation.
  • Ability to maintain a valid passport with flexibility for travel.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.

At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $61,200 and $108,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits, including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
