The Director/Head of Strategic Procurement is responsible for transforming procurement into a value-driving function that supports business growth, innovation, and operational excellence. This role leads the development and execution of sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, supply continuity, and supplier performance across the enterprise. Acting as a strategic business partner, the director ensures alignment between procurement initiatives and organizational objectives by collaborating cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. The position requires a forward-thinking leader who can navigate complexity, champion best procurement practices, and drive continuous improvement within a centralized procurement model.

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
10+ years of progressive procurement experience, including global sourcing and strategic category management
5+ years in a leadership or centralized procurement role, preferably in a complex or multi-site organization
Deep understanding of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and total cost of ownership
Strong analytical and financial acumen, with experience using spend analytics to drive decisions
Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
Proven track record of leading transformation and cross-functional initiatives
Expertise with procurement technologies and ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, LeanDNA, Coupa)
At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $155,000 and $261,000 provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
