The Bruker AXS-EM division is looking for an electronics technician to do board level debugging of PCBs on our electron microscope products. Bruker AXS-EM electronics span a wide range from high-speed digital cameras and scanning systems to ultra stable precision current supplies to 200kV high voltage supplies with tens of millivolt stability. The successful candidate will be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, making sure that things come together in a timely manner. Help others as needed. Responsibilities will shift and grow based on ability and interests. Light travel to Asia and Europe is a possibility but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Test and fix new boards and electronics assemblies for proper function.
  • Help with component sourcing for purchasing.
  • Assist in building and repairing microscope electronics.
  • Keep track of key inventory.

Qualifications

  • 2-year AS or 4-year BS degree in electronic engineering or similar.
  • AS with 2-4 years of experience or BS with 0-3 years of experience
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Basic understanding of analog and digital circuits.
  • Ability to solder at a basic level, if needed further training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with computers, oscilloscopes, multimeters and other everyday equipment.
  • Ability to work with assembly instructions as well as update them as needed, and cheerfully help and support co-workers.

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $54,020 and $92,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
