Overview

The Associate Director, Product Management, Bruker Spatial Genomics, is responsible for driving product development requirements, developing market/product roadmaps, developing marketing campaign strategies, promotional programs, and related activities to ensure that new and existing products meet market needs and organizational goals and expectations. The role will also assist in developing strategic plans This individual identifies unmet customer needs and market trends that will assist in the development of new product concepts and configurations, then works with product development teams to create great new products or enhancements. The individual stays informed of competitor products and maintains competitive comparisons and evaluations. Additional responsibilities include developing sales collateral and sales tools, including product profiles, brochures, specifications sheets, competitive analysis and white papers.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Directs the development of company market requirements for specific products or product lines including strategy definition, requirement analysis and pricing.
  • Identifies customer needs, leads new product definition and attractiveness of new     opportunities and potential market size.
  • Formulates product direction and crafts product roadmaps.
  • Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans.
  • Develops and oversees product launch plans.  Develops product positioning and pricing.
  • Develops product line business plans, including leading competitive analysis, managing lifecycles and product positioning strategy in terms of price-value, as well as identifies product family gaps.
  • Drives marketing application activities.
  • Works with Marketing Communications to set promotion strategies. Work with Marketing Communications professionals to develop programs and collateral materials for products on the market.
  • Provides internal analysis on market share, win rate and market growth.
  • Interacts with Engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product lines. Leads new product definition, provides input for new product development and writes market requirements.
  • Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Provides updates to sales team.
  • Ensure appropriate technical support for sales and field applications teams, including scientific data presentations for customer facing collateral.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and proficiency in market trends, including competitive intelligence and voice-of-customer research.
  • Manage quarterly forecast inputs to Operations in collaboration with Sales.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree including PhD in Genomics or Genetics preferred.  Minimum 5 years experience in product management roles. 
  • Solid understanding of the 3D genomics field and oncology segments.
  • Experience with developing and launching genomics or spatial biology products.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Travel up to 25-30% (U.S. and International) supporting Trade shows, Customer Visits
  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing and/or product management OR in a customer facing role in the life science industry.
  • Skilled at developing and maintaining highly effective cross functional relationships across the organization – with R&D, Product Development, Marketing and Project Management teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills, with comfort in communicating across various levels of stakeholders
  • Results-driven and proactive in finding solutions, with the ability to think critically to overcome business challenges and complete tasks
  • The ability to work independently and assist less experienced peers when necessary.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of coping with change.

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $123,000 and $223,000  provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
