The Sales Product Specialist will be responsible for high level pre- and post-sale support of Bruker Nano Surface’s Fluorescence Microscopy (FM) business unit products in CT, NJ, and NY territory, specifically multi-photon, light sheet, super resolution, and data management systems. This position is fully remote with preferred location in the NYC metro area. This position must help achieve sales quotas in the assigned product lines while enthusiastically expanding customer relationships using comprehensive product knowledge as well as technical and service expertise. Job duties primarily include direct sales, applications and service support to drive opportunities, and enhancing the customer experience to grow the business.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales funnel for our advanced Fluorescence Microscopy imaging solutions; monitor and ensure adequate leads feeding the funnel and ensure high conversion of opportunities
• Understand and refine best practices
• Clearly outline customer’s requirements and accurately reflect them in quotation process
• Perform instrument demonstrations, discuss application needs from the prospects and present our unique selling points
• Perform hands-on workshops to generate leads and opportunities
• Undertake exploratory sales visits and actively prospect within given territory
• Communicate support needs back to the FM business unit
• Build accurate forecasts and deliver results utilizing CRM
• Understand the specifications, performance, unique selling points and pricing guidelines for all products
• Make compelling presentations to customers
• Technical ability to support the Applications Team during demos and consultations
• Assist marketing activities to increase leads and opportunities such as trade shows/exhibitions
• Coordinate support with the FM Service Team
• Communicate competitive intel and market feedback into the business unit
• Frequent visits to customer base and ability to travel back to business unit upon request. 50% travel
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Understands the needs of life science customers
• Capable of selling advanced technology instrumentation
• Have hands-on experience and knowledge about multiphoton or light sheet microscopy
• Good communicator and experience in consultative selling skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with MS office proficiency
• Good problem-solving skills
• Energetic self-starter with a strong work ethic
• Able to travel both domestically and internationally on short notice
• Having sold microscopy products is a plus

 

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Biological Science field is strongly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in customer-facing field sales or service roll with Bachelor’s degree, ideally involving microscopy products and applications, or 3 years with Master’s degree, or minimal experience with PhD. Advanced degree preferred
• Experience in advanced fluorescence microscopy techniques and instruments. Light Sheet and/or Multiphoton.

 

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $59,400 and $107,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
