Bruker Nano, one of Bruker’s four operating segments, provides customers in academic and governmental institutions, life science, materials, and applied industries with the tools to determine the characteristics of matter and visualize the structure of molecules. Divisions within BNANO include Bruker AXS, Bruker Nano Analytics, Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology, Fluorescence Microscopy, and Canopy.

 

The primary responsibility of an Electro Mechanical Assembler is to build precision subassemblies that go into final products. The assembly position requires the ability to read and understand assembly documentation, perform precision soldering, use mechanical fasteners and adhesives to assemble precision machined parts and optical components, perform wire crimping and assembly of cable harnesses, and use production tooling and test equipment. Calibration of electronics assemblies using DVM’s and O-scopes may be required. This position will also require the individual to effectively interface with Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering (ME) to provide detailed feedback on product build and test issues, on assembly documentation, and to support prototype builds for new product releases.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Build precision electro mechanical assemblies to print
  • Work with ENG and ME to create and improve assembly documentation
  • Work both independently and as a team member to best help keep up with production schedules

 ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Request parts from stock utilizing appropriate methods
  • Use ERP system (SAP) as needed to perform essential job functions
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to hip height
  • Alert to the environment to avoid hazards in the work place
  • Orderly, keeping work environment clean and organized

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Precision soldering skills
  • Experience working hands-on with mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Experience working with basic hand tools, tweezer, pliers, cutters, screwdrivers, etc.
  • Experience working with small parts and assemblies, requiring tweezers and high degree of manual dexterity
  • Basic computer skills required, with experience using Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Critical attention to minute details
  • Strong command of written and spoken English
  • Detail oriented with high attention to product quality is required

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience building electro mechanical assemblies

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $53,434.00/yr. and $74,000.00/yr. and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
