Responsibilities

New opportunity for an experienced Business Development and Sales professional to join the Bruker BioSpin Optimal Team.

  • Develop, implement and manage sales and marketing plan for the Americas Region
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly presentations and monitor for updates on a monthly basis
  • Manage the sales process from prospecting for initial contacts through to demonstrations and purchase order until projects are installed and accepted.
  • Maintain and develop a constructive relationship with existing customers and leverage scientific output where possible
  • Actively search for new business opportunities and provide input for the overall commercial strategy based on field observations
  • Report on activities and status and provide a quarterly forecast with updates on a bi-weekly basis
  • Establish new opportunities and schedule face to face meetings as well with existing customers
  • Concentrate on pharmaceutical and related life science industry sales and expand longer term to additional industries (such as nutraceuticals, chemicals, agriculture)
  • Perform account planning for success: utilize Player Map, Shark Finesse and specific tools such as generic account and call plans.
  • Attend conferences and various internal meetings to ensure a healthy sales pipeline is developed and maintained.
  • Raise awareness of market and technology trends so we adapt making sure we at optimal are in a leading position and are equipped to leverage findings for success.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering discipline. PhD or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years work experience and successful software sales track record in pharmaceutical industry, PAT and synTQ specifically with the ability to demonstrate synTQ at a high level.
  • Proven knowledge with ability to communicate the suggested approach, benefits and challenges of PAT, GDM & implementation approaches required.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, develop, and establish contacts and new accounts, follow up on sales opportunities identified through marketing and referral activities, proactively manage significant delegated customer accounts and partners.
  • Actively assist and attend Americas exhibitions and user group meetings (USA, Europe, Asia).
  • During a PAT sales pursuit, investigate any possible need for automation and support established leads from the OIA sales team including site attendance.
  • Acquire sufficient project information to enable internal quotations team to generate proposals.
  • Proactively deliver and maintain multiple on-site and virtual customer-oriented and supportive communication and follow up with prospects, pre-sales and post sales customer accounts.
  • Work constructively with the sales team of our sister company – Optimal Industrial Automation Ltd in relation to joint sales.
  • Liaise with and support Bruker - our parent company’s sales force and assist them with PAT related sales as required.
  • Energetic, results-driven with excellent self-organization
  • Team player while very independent and self-motivated
  • Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical, proposal communication and presentation skills, including advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite and related tools as required. 
  • High sense of initiative to collaborate within a global entrepreneurial team.
  • Written and spoken fluency in English required with other languages desirable.
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete position training requirements. 
  • Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state or governing location with reliable transportation.
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for frequent overnight, domestic, and international travel.
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.

 

 

At Bruker, the base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $75,600 and $134,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits, including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
